RMHC of Metro St. Louis Tour Guidelines As part of our community outreach, we often allow small groups or individuals to tour the House for the purpose of educating the community about our mission as well as volunteer and donation opportunities. While this community outreach is important, the privacy, safety and security of our families in residence at the House must always be our primary concern. The following guidelines describe the process and procedures for tours.
There are two classifications of tours: Group and Individual.
Group:
Limit of 10 people to a group
No children below 6th grade
Groups are limited to community areas
Bedroom areas will not be included in the tour
Requests for specific day, time and House will be considered based on availability of volunteers and/or staff coverage
All groups will be advised that anyone who is ill or who has been exposed to a contagious disease will not be allowed in the House
The purpose of the tour should be to learn about the mission of RMH. Requests for tours to view architecture or other reasons may not be approved
Contact person will be advised to re-confirm several hours before scheduled tour by calling the House where tour is to take place
Groups larger than 10 may instead be offered a speaking engagement visit by a representative of RMH
Individual:
Individuals and/or families are allowed to include children of any age as long as the children are under the direct supervision of an adult
The tour guide may use his/her own judgment to expand the tour beyond the community areas, keeping in mind privacy of the families in residence
